  1. DEPARTMENT HISTORY - Started on 1997 at Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Govt. Hospital Tiruchirappalli-17. Our department posses adequate number of staffs as per MCI norms with  Professor, Associate Professor , Assistant Professor  Tutors, Lab Technicians & attender .
  2. In the year 2000-Department was shifted to Periyamelaguparai, Tiruchirappalli -1. other then conducting autopsies, other medico legal examinations are bone cases, sexual affence cases examination. Accused age case examination, Prohibition enforcement wing / TNP Act certificates.
  3.  In the department one museum contains medico legal specimens, pathology specimens, poison weapons, Bones.
  4. One seminar hall for conducting seminars, and two demonstration halls which is aircondition.
      Eligibility  : Plus Two with merit basis.
      Course duration : 5yrs 6 months

     University examination details : Every year Feburary   and August examinations
